Setup OCS 2007 and Office Communicator
Prerequisites:
1. Download install Microsoft Office Communicator from https://owa.exchangecarrier.net/outlook/communicator.msi.
You will be prompted for your email address and password.
2. Log on to http://cp.dnamail.com using a login with admin privileges (Ex. admin@domain.com)
3. Enter the user you would like to enable Office Communicator for under the User Search menu and click Go. Click on Services
4. Expand Office Communication Server 2007 and click Provision. Note: If you do not have this option please contact support to get it enabled.
5. Once the Provision status changes to green click on the user you just provisioned from the left hand menu and click on Impersonate. Alternately, you can also
logon to http://cp.dnamail.com as the recently provisioned user.
6. Take note of the Account ID value under Entourage 2008 Settings and log out.
7. After you have logged in the control panel, click on the second icon from the left and select Exchange -> Summary
8. Wait approximately 15 minutes and then launch Microsoft Office Communicator 2007. Click on the
upside down triangle icon in the upper left hand corner of the application and select Tools -> Options.
9. Enter your primary email address as the Sign-in address
10. Click on Advanced and enter aes1.exchangecarrier.net as the Internal and External server names.
Select TLS under Connect using and click Ok -> Ok
11. Click Sign In and enter your User name and Password. Your User name will be in the format
MAIL\ using the account id value from step 6. For example, if your account ID was
user1_adi then the User name for this step will be MAIL\user1_adi
12. Click Sign-In. You are now ready to start using Office Communicator.
